Activities at Mountainside
Our activity program encompasses the elements of mind, body, spirit and community, in order to maintain a healthy and vibrant lifestyle. Our goal at Mountainside is to make every resident feel at home, enjoying the highest quality of life.
Our residents participate in exercise classes, scrabble club, crocheting, quilting, watercolor painting and discussion groups. Our residents enjoy visits from community members, churches, school children and a variety music performers.
Our residents also spend quite a bit of time out in the downtown square of Crozet. They can be seen walking to Parkway Pharmacy to pick up some personal care items and birthday cards for their grandchildren. They frequent the local library, bank and post office. During the warmer months they enjoy going to the Farmer's Market in the Methodist church parking lot and socializng with community members.
Our residents also enjoy going on a wide variety of outings. During the summer time, residents go on fishing trips, picnics, lunches out to local restaurants and breweries. During the fall and spring, they can be spotted at the many local orchards, picking peaches or pumpkins and going on scenic rides. During the wintertime, they enjoy scenic snow rides and going to look at all of the holiday light decorations.
