Personal Care Aide - 3rd shift – full time

Mountainside Senior Living is seeking experienced PCAs for full time 3rd shift (11pm to 7am). We are looking for a caring, compassionate, dependable and professional individuals to assist with the activities of daily living (ADL’s), bathing, dressing, and hygiene. Along with helping with mobility to and from meals, activities.  Provide caring competent personal care to our residents in an environment that is free from abuse, neglect and exploitation.Must have 40 Hour Direct Care Certificate or Certified Nurse Aide License, CPR and First aid certification, be familiar with and follow the Standards and Regulations that govern an assisted living facility, use proper infection control practices, knowledge of resident’s rights and follow HIPAA guidelines.Potential employees will be required to complete a background check, drug screening, and TB screening before any offer of employment is given.

Registered Medication Aide- 3rd Shift

We are seeking compassionate and detailed oriented RMA. Qualified candidate will administer oral and external medications to residents under direction and supervision of nursing staff. Abide by proper infection control practices, residents rights and HIPAA guidelines. Must have a valid Medication Aide License from Virginia Board of Nursing. CPR and First Aide certification preferred. Willing to follow Standards and Regulations that govern an Assisted Living Facility and Memory Care Unit.

This is a full time position, 3rd shift, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. All potential employees will be required to complete full background check, drug screening and TB screening before any offer of employment. Pay is based on experience.

Part Time Housekeeper

Mountainside Senior Living is seeking a part time housekeeper to work 20 hours weekly, required to work every other weekend and holidays. Need a responsible, respectful, hardworking individual who will interact with our residents on a professional level at all times. Individual will be responsible for all aspects of housekeeping (dust, vacuum, sweep, mop, etc), move furniture as needed, other duties as assigned.

Maintenance Technician

Mountainside Senior Living seeks an experienced technician who will assist the Maintenance Manager. Responsibilities included but not limited to the following: installs, maintains and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, pipe and electrical systems in assisted living facility by performing the following duties. Prepare and insure completion of all work assignments. Assist with repairs, refurbishing and painting projects. Repair and maintain building, equipment, machinery, grounds on a continuous basis.

  • Problem Solving- Identifies and resolves problems in timely manner. Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics. Works well in group problem solving situations.
  • Planning/Organization- Prioritizes and plans work activities, uses time efficiently, plans for additional resources. Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; looks for ways to improve and promote quality; monitors own work to ensure quality. Completes work in a timely manner. Observes safety and security procedures; determines appropriate action beyond guidelines; reports potentially unsafe condition; uses equipment and materials properly.

This is a full time position with benefits following completion of probationary period. Some of the benefits include but are not limited to, Dental, Vision, 401k (after 1 year of employment). High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or at least one year related experience and/or training or equivalent of education and training.

Part Time Receptionist

Mountainside Senior Living is looking for an energetic, personable, reliable individual for part time receptionist. The standard work hours are 4 pm to 9 pm and every other weekend from 8 am to 8 pm Saturday and Sunday. Qualified candidate must have a love of working with the elderly.

The Receptionist will serve as the first point of contact for residents, staff, family members and the public. Customer Service knowledge and principles of good customer relations are a must. Must have the ability to work effectively with people in a variety of professions. Speak and write clearly and be reliable, cooperative, and congenial with staff, families and clients. Answer telephone, with exceptional telephone etiquette, take and relay messages to appropriate staff and residents. Responsible for greeting all “walk-in” clients and visitors and assisting prospective clients with a facility brochure in preparation for a facility tour. Distributing resident’s mail into appropriate mail folders and to resident as needed. Must communicate with transportation driver effectively and secure all paperwork needed for resident’s to accompany them to their respective appointments. Managing tickets for Jaunt transportation as needed for residents. Completing maintenance work orders for residents and staff as needed. Completing the lunch/dinner substitute meal sheet for residents on a daily basis.

Communicating with nursing on radio as it relates to assistance with residents. Receiving monies for meal tickets for visitors and/or agency personnel and delivering to Business Office. Assisting Director of Finance with mailing of monthly invoices and distributing the same to residents. Banking as it relates to maintaining cash box for change for residents. Perform daily tasks independently and other duties as assigned.

Will provide caring, competent personal care to our residents in an environment that is free from abuse, neglect and exploitation. Respect residents’ rights with dignity and privacy.
