Activities Assistant: We are seeking an energetic Activities Assistant, duties include, but are not limited to shopping for residents and supplies for activities; assist residents as needed when transporting and in activities; work with large groups of residents and other duties as assigned. Candidate must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record, be able to drive any of the three Mountainside vehicles which are a station wagon, van and wheelchair bus. Bus training will be provided. Must have experience with Word and Excel; knowledge of Charlottesville, Crozet and surrounding area; have experience or be able to work with dementia and/or challenged residents; possess excellent people skills; be able to multitask and be a self-starter. This is a full-time 40 hour a week position. Hours to be determined, holidays, nights and weekends may be required. Pay is based on experience. 

Personal Care Aide: Experienced preferred, but not necessary. Willing to train the right candidate. Experienced PCA will have the following: CPR and First aid certification a plus, be familiar with and follow the Standards and Regulations that govern an assisted living facility, use proper infection control practices, knowledge of residents rights and follow HIPAA guidelines. Hours and shift will vary Mon-Fri, every other weekend and holidays required. Per Standards and Regulations you must be 18 to work in the Health Services Dept. unless you are a Certified Nursing Assistant. All potential employees will be required to complete a background check, drug screening, and TB screening before any offer of employment given.  Full-time. Pay is based on experience.

Housekeeper: Seeking a part-time housekeeper to work 20 hours weekly, required to work every other weekend and holidays. Need a responsible, respectful, hardworking individual who will interact with our residents on a professional level at all times. Individual will be responsible for all aspects of housekeeping (dust, vacuum, sweep, mop, etc. . .), move furniture as needed, other duties as assigned.

Dietary Aide: Dietary Aides needed, experience in food services with knowledge of sanitary practices preferred. Under the supervision of the Food Services Manager, you will assist with the food/meal services of the Food Services Department. Candidate must have ability to follow oral and written instructions, be a quick learner, and be willing to work various hours/shifts. Employees in this position must be able to regularly lift up to 50 pounds. Must have a love of working with the elderly. Must provide caring competent personal care to our residents in an environment that is free from abuse, neglect and exploitation. Respect residents’ rights with dignity and privacy. Potential employees will be required to complete a background check, drug screening, and TB screening before any offer of employment is given. Full-time. Pay is based on experience.

Medication Aide: Will follow safe and timely medication administration, proper infection control practices, residents rights and HIPAA guidelines. Hours and shifts will vary Mon-Fri, every other weekend and holidays required. Per Standards and Regulations you must be 18 to work in the Health Services Dept. unless you are a Certified Nursing Assistant. Must have current Medication Aide License for Virginia. Maintenance Technician: 

Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems in assisted living facility by performing the following duties. Prepare and insure completion of all work assignments. Assist with all repairs, refurbishing and painting projects. Repair and maintain building, equipment, machinery and grounds on a continuous basis. This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully; develops alternative solutions; works well in group problem solving situations; uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics. Planning/Organizing - Prioritizes and plans work activities; uses time efficiently; plans for additional resources. Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; looks for ways to improve and promote quality; monitors own work to ensure quality. Completes work in timely manner. Observes safety and security procedures; determines appropriate action beyond guidelines; reports potentially unsafe conditions ; uses equipment and materials properly. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

This is a full time position with benefits following completion of a probationary period.
