Season’s Greetings Friends and Family-

I hope the holiday season finds all of you in good health and of good cheer.  At Mountainside Senior Living we are focused on making this the best season we can for the residents and the building is in full swing! We have kicked off the holiday season with our Resident Tree Trimming Party and look forward to the weeks leading up to our Annual Friends and Family Holiday Brunch. If you have not RSVP’ed yet there is still time to do so! Give us a call and ask to speak with Penny to reserve your spot.

As we look past the holiday season and into the New Year we are excited with the changes that will be happening at Mountainside Senior Living. Construction our Blue Ridge Memory Care Neighborhood continues to progress daily. We get more excited with each development and look forward to opening the doors on March 1st. We’ve also taken the opportunity to embark on some improvements in our assisted living neighborhoods. We have been replaced much of the outdoor furniture, most notably on the back patio. We saw many residents (and family members) enjoying the mild fall weather and the changing leaves. We have steadily been working to renovate resident rooms with new flooring, paint and when needed, tub cut outs. While seemingly minor, these updates help improve resident safety and also encourage independence.

The renovation that we are most excited about in assisted living, however, is our dining room project.  Earlier this summer we received a generous donation from Twice Is Nice to install HVAC units in the dining room and pull out the wall units. It was a much needed and long anticipated update to our dining space. However, we aren’t close to being where we’d like to see the dining room. We have a great vision of replacing the light fixtures, carpeting, furniture and repainting the entire room. I encourage you to check it out the next time you come in for a visit or at the Holiday Brunch and see for yourself the high need for this project to be completed. We sincerely hope that you will join us in making the dining room renovation possible, by making a donation to Mountainside. As a space where friendships are made, families eat together and laugh together, we can’t think of a better group to ask for help, other than our friends and families, to make this renovation possible.

Happiest of Holidays and a Happy New Year!
